Caucus Endorses Nena Cook for Oregon Supreme Court

Oregon Stonewall Democrats (aka DPO GLBT Caucus) endorses Nena Cook for Oregon Supreme Court. Cook is an out lesbian and has the experience and expertise needed to serve on the state’s highest court.
Joey Kerns, Chair of Oregon Stonewall Democrats said, “Although we can be proud to call all of the candidates a Justice, it is Nena Cook that stood out amongst the others during our endorsement process. She’s intelligent, has experience both as a judge and a lawyer, is an out lesbian, and is very personable. I know Nena will do a great job for Oregon.”

I love that Nena has the range of experience and legal expertise that the highest court in the state should have. As a community, we are more aware than most, what a difference our courts make, in determining the kind of culture we live in and have access to. The people making those decisions must understand our experiences-Nena has that.:-)
